Friends & Family Support

Are you in a place where someone you love has embraced a homosexual or transgender identity, or they are struggling with same-sex attraction? Are you uncertain about how to show love in a situation that may seem contrary or challenging to your Christian beliefs? Are you searching for people with whom you can share this pain and uncertainty? We invite you to join Path of Life's Friends & Family Group for those who have loved ones struggling with or embracing LGBTQ feelings or identity.

There are some options for resources for Friends & Family at Path of Life:

  • Individual consutation in person at Path of Life.  To access this option, please call us at 509.444.9035 or email

  • Hope Group that meets the first and third Thursdays in January/February; April/May; July/August; October/November, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM  (PST) on Zoom.  Our first meeting will be Thursday, January 6, 2022.

    • We’ll address various topics that will help us relate to our loved ones with love and truth such as: Dealing with Grief, Roots of Sexual Brokenness, Restoring Relationships, Effective Communication, Responding Biblically to LGBTQ Loves Ones, and more. The series includes short video teachings produced by Portland Fellowship, which also feature a variety of testimonies from other parents. Handouts with questions about each topic will be available as we process together. In addition, we will make time to share personal needs, ask questions and receive prayer.
